Obviously my main mode of transportation here is my beloved little motor bike, and believe me I can do a lot with this little bike. 2 friends of Kathryn and I just moved here about 2 months ago. Last week Kathryn and I taught the girls how to drive motor bikes and as of this last week they both own their own bikes. However before all this happened this picture was a common occurrence. Every day you see families of 5 driving around town, or 3 young boys heading home from school, so when the girls got here and needed a ride I thought, “Why not?” This way if they are coming to our house only one of us has to take them and then we don’t have to lock up our house and gate just to pick the girls up or take them home. Or on the days when you just can’t find anyone else to give one of them a ride, no worries pile on and let’s go! In Indonesia we call this “bertiga”, meaning, threesome, or a group having three.
