Teaching English

IMG_1847

Earlier this month a couple of neighbor girls asked if we could help them with their English homework. Kathryn said sure and 3 days in a row they came over to our house for “English lessons” . . . we appreciated their eagerness but told them that they couldn’t come over every day. Most of the time Kathryn ends up helping them because I’m gone, but I have been able to help and “teach” a few times. It has been great to get to know these girls as they are all kind of shy, but we are so thankful that they are becoming less shy around us. This day we were learning the words for, knife, fork, spoon, plate, bowl, cup, glass, mug and then the phrases, pick up, put down, put inside, take out, put on top, and turn over. So fun to have these special times with these girls and hear their giggles as they practice new words.
