Miscommunication

Several weeks ago I went to the seamstress to get an apron made from some fabric that I had bought. I took Melanie along so that she could talk to the seamstress in the language used here. I had a picture with measurements and it seemed that everything was understood. The seamstress told me to come back in a couple of weeks to pick it up. When I went back she told me that she had forgotten and that I should come back in about 5 days. I went back again and she apologized profusely that she had forgotten again, then she couldn't even find my fabric. Finally she found my fabric and said that it would be ready the next day and that she would deliver it to my house. We from the front all seems like a lovely little apron, not quite like the picture, but oh well.
However, from the back . . . it wasn't an apron, it was kind of like a dress. Um, yeah, didn't really want to have to step into my apron and zip it up the back.
I asked one of my friends from here what I should do and ended up taking it back and explaining what I was wanting. I think we got things straightened out, however whenever I go to pick it up the door is closed, maybe she knows I'm coming. =) Oh the joys of trying to communicate in another language. The story has definitely provided many good laughs.
