A Trip Down Memory Lane

I worked as a waitress for a couple years at a local restaurant and during that time I was able to make a lot of friends.  One of my dearest friends from my time as a waitress is my friend Jane.  Now Jane is not just any ordinary gal, she is a spunky, spirited, crazy, loving 87 year old lady.  If you are thinking that she was one of regular customers which is how we became such good friends, well you are wrong.  Jane was one of my coworkers!  Yup that’s right she waitressed tables till she was about 84ish, did I mention that she’s spunky?

Whenever I am back in KS I spend quite a bit of time with Jane, drinking coffee, eating whatever delicious baked good she’s made, making doughnuts with her or traveling out to “our restaurant” to say hi to our old bosses.


If it’s your birthday you get a b-day spanking and you get to sign the paddle.  It’s a tradition that has been passed down from one owner to the next.
