We’re going camping now we’re on our way! I had the fun experience of camping with a group of friends last week.
We loaded all our stuff up into a truck and then all the kids piled in the back and rode about an hour to our campsite in the back of the truck.
All set and ready to go!
We unloaded the truck and then the guys got to work setting up the tents.
I learned through this experience that one or two people do quite a bit of work and about 3 or 4 others watch what’s going on and pitch in every now and then. =)
This palace of a tent was the boys tent . . . it was nice and tall so that the boys could stand up, do hand stands, turn cartwheels, pretty much whatever they wanted to do they could do in this nice big tent.
It took probably a good hour + for them to get it all finished. I mean granted they had to cut their bamboo a bit, dig some holes to put the bamboo into the ground . . . but in my estimation it could have gotten done a lot faster. However I decided that they didn’t have a problem taking their time so I wasn’t going to worry about it either.
This was the cooking shelter . . . Ibu Tri was standing there holding it up for a bit so we could decide where we wanted the bamboo support so Karen and I decided to join her for a fun picture. Thankfully the bamboo support got put up and we didn’t have to stand there the whole couple of days that we were there.
Wait, what, the boys are still working on their tent?!?!
Alright, I guess we can start on the girl’s tent now.
Mean while us girls set to work getting supper ready.
The girls getting some garlic ready for the fried tempe.
