Creating Autumn in a Tropical Country

The smell of leaves burning, roasting marshmallows over a fire, hearing leaves crunch underfoot, picking apples, the smell of spices and pumpkin . . . these are all things that I am used to this time of year, however this year is a bit different. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, so I decided that I wanted to create a bit of fall and was helped by a very timely package. =) Thanks Mel!!
Melanie, a friend of Kathryn and I, sent a package full of Autumn goodies, including REAL leaves, we were sooo excited!!
This is now our dining room table decoration!
Our coffee table decoration makes me laugh . . . I made the leaves from fun paper, however I just felt like a little kid trying to making decoartions out of construction paper.
Our basket of apples . . . so many memories of picking apples and then spending days making applesauce, apple pie filling, dried apples, sliced apples and apple butter.

Autumn wouldn't be complete without an apple pie.

Now I just need to watch some football and I'm good to go! Go Pack Go!!
